April 22: World Day of Terre
This event e ; tee celebrated for the first time April 22, 1970. Earth Day is now recognized as the popular environmental event the largest in the world.

The founder of this event is U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson . He encouraged students to develop projects of environmental awareness in their communities. Today, Earth Day is celebrated worldwide by over 500 million people in 184 countries.

Our endangered planet
