Cosmébio association

Cosmebio is the French trade association of ecological and biological cosmetic. It federates the whole of the actors of the die (suppliers of ingredients, laboratories cosmetic, made-to-order manufacturers, distributers) and represents today more than 390 French and foreign members.

Created in 2002, Cosmebio is at the origin of the French Charter of Ecological and Biological Cosmetic. This Charter defines the rules and basic principles for the manufacturers who wish to engage in this step.

The action of the Association Cosmebio is based on 3 main themes:
- The Men, theethics and the social responsibility
-   The scientific approach, a framed and checked ecological and organic cosmetic
-  The respect for the nature and the support for the organic farming

Cosmebio is also titular label which offers to the consumers of the guarantees as for nature and to the biological quality of the la-belized products.

At the European level, Cosmebio is the professional main association of biological cosmetic. For this reason, it is  founder member of the international association in charge of the European harmonization of the specifications of the cosmetic natural and biological, Cosmos-standard

To emphasize the knowledge to make members and to promote it cosmetic biological near the consumers and professionals in France and with the international one.

To carry out class action suits of promotion to increase the visibility of the adherent companies and to favour their commercial development.

To represent and assist the members near the authorities, professional organizations and national and international working groups.

To grant the Cosmebio label and to fight against falsifications or counterfeits intended to mislead consumers and professionals.
