councils creches, composed of elected parents and staff, gathered Saturday for a town hall meeting plenary.
Led by Lise Daleux, Assistant to the family, they have reported on quality of life in the nursery.
"The agenda is based on the proposals and concerns raised last year," says Lise Daleux, Assistant in charge of childcare. Since 2007, councils are found crib together once a year for a plenary. These are the themes that have attracted the attention this time.
Air Quality. Pollutants and chemicals in the flooring or paint, are found in nurseries.
"We set up an action plan based on environmental criteria," reassures assistant. For example, all cleaning products will be renewed by excluding products most impact.
Meals "bios". Meals served to toddlers every day are cooked in nurseries. "There are 500, not huge compared to food in schools, nurseries can then be pilot sites for organic food" analysis Lise Daleux. The goal is 50% of organic food in school goal will be exceeded in nurseries. The ambition is also to encourage local producers to switch to organic farming.
Energy efficiency. Now the staff can act directly on the heating, in return, the management technique is more reactive. Work is in progress. "This system is more efficient for the well-being of individuals and environmental concern."
Requests unfilled. The main sticking point is not surprising: it still lacks of childcare places, especially as the birth rate is high in Lille. This year, 300 applications from parents were not satisfied. Currently, 500 places are available in local nurseries, 1 400 households in nurseries or private associative. But five daycare centers will be added to the existing nine. Before the end of the year, the Saint-Maurice Pellevoisin (25 seats) should open its doors.
